Frequently Asked Questions: RI: New infrastructures and ESFRI
Can the ESFRI list be updated?
Posted by EuroRIs-Net Administrator on 14 October 2008 09:19 AM

The European Strategic Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI) is a forum which is composed by representatives of national governments. The ESFRI is a consultative group who established a list of priority infrastructures for Europe. The first call for projects under the work programme 2007 on research infrastructures covered only projects on the ESFRI list in the category of “preparatory phase for the construction of new infrastructures”. The ESFRI list is regularly reviewed and can be updated, especially in the course of the European research infrastructures conferences like the ECRI Conference which took place in June 2007 in Hamburg. Support to a new infrastructure which is not on the ESFRI list can be requested by submitting a design study. The next call which is open for design studies will take place in 2010, according to current schedule.
